Stop Microsoft's information collection process for Windows 11

In Windows 10, an exe file called "compattelrunner.exe" was automatically started for OS information collection, but in Windows 11, a service called "InventorySvc" will be started instead.

Let's stop the automatic startup of this service and other related processes.

  1. Right-click on Start and open "Computer Management".

  2. Select "Application Experience" under System Tools - Task Scheduler - Task Scheduler Library - Microsoft - Windows.

  3. Select "Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser" and "PcaPatchDbTask", right click and select "Disable".

  4. Make sure the task state is "disabled".

  5. Next, click on "Customer Experience Improvement Program", select "Consolidator" and "UsbCeip", right click and select "Disable".

  6. Make sure the task state is "disabled".

  7. Next, stop the "InventorySvc" service. Click on "Windows Tools" from "All Apps" in the Start menu.

  8. Open "Services."

  9. Right-click on "Inventory and Compatibility Appraisal service" and click "Properties."

  10. Set the startup type to "Disabled."

  11. Also, stop the service. (After restarting the PC, the service will be in a stopped state without any further action.)
